Our client is a leading Business Process Outsourcer that specialises in workflow and technical solutions
for document, financial and payment processing. Headquartered in South Yorkshire and have a global client base, including FTSE 100 firms, major utility providers, leading telecoms operators, manufacturers and local authorities.

They employ over 200 people across two sites in the UK and operate overseas sites in Sofia and India. About this opportunity

The CFO will lead in building a culture of financial responsibility, accountability, and
awareness across the organisation. You will need to build an in-depth understanding of
the business, its operations, and its unique business model and think beyond the
traditional accounting scope.

What you will do

  • Drive the financial outcomes of the business, helping the business to achieve various metrics

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Finance and HR functions as well as overseeing and prioritising programme activity, spend and headcount.

  • Develop the operating processes and platforms required to meet the businesses delivery objectives

  • Support and lead on all on M&A activity along with the relevant group stakeholders.

  • Develop the capabilities, and skills, or the function to support the needs of a fast growing and expanding business

  • Where appropriate support the effective management of clients and supply-chain relationships

  • Evaluating investment opportunities and ad hoc projects as required

  • Liaise with outside vendors (such as audit and legal) to navigate and solve unique

    business accounting problems and reporting standards.

  • Ownership of financial reporting and analysis for internal stakeholders as well as the board and shareholders

  • Produce insightful analysis and reporting on unit economic and operational performance

  • Implementing fiscally responsible decision-making processes

  • Partnering with other execs to evaluate ROI of their projects

  • Manage vendor relations and work with them to achieve favourable commercial terms

  • Manage all aspects of tax filings and reporting in collaboration with 3rd party

  • vendors as needed

  • Lead on the deployment of tools to automate finance processes and increase efficiency, in partnership with tech and product team

  • Partner with CEO on future fundraising efforts

You will bring

  • An experienced leader with a strong track record of strategic leadership and financial management in a comparable organisation

  • A related degree to the Accounting, Finance or Business sector

  • Ten years of experience in a senior managerial position

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to exercise sound judgement

  • Excellent grasp of forecasting and data analysis methods
