About this opportunity
We are recruiting for our client an experienced Chief Information Officer.
You will work directly under the CEO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future IT operations of the company. As an active, and present, stakeholder you will work with all operational teams to define, implement, and execute performance improvements.
You will be able to gather data, analyse and report on it providing recommendations for
action to the Head of CIO Portfolio and Strategic Priorities.
What you will do
Setting a vision for how technology will be used in the company to deliver on our road map and international aspirations.
Create and deliver on transformation

Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.
Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements.
Maintaining an end-user focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects
Managing technology budgets and time frames.
Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
Ensuring all projects and technology practices adhere to x standards.
Working with and coaching direct team of Heads of.
Working with the CEO for planning and delivery of the roadmap in line with delivery requirements.
Set objectives and strategies for the IT department
Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organisation
Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers
Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organisation to ensure optimal performance
Direct and organise IT-related projects
Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
Analyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions
You will bring
Experience leading an IT department, and defining and implementing an IT strategy
Excellent knowledge of end-to-end systems for outsourcing / back office providers integrating internal and 3rd Party requirements.
Knowledge delivering projects and supporting systems, including ERP, CRM, WMS
Comfortable recommending and integrating new products and systems into a Legacy environment
Have excellent of change/release management, automating processes and end-user training
Comfortable managing a sizeable IT budget
Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Have a proactive mindset and enjoy delivering transformation
